Home to school bus operators perform a critical role within the Klein Transportation company.  These drivers generally need to be available in the morning and afternoons. This is a great job for retired persons, stay at home moms and dads, allowing you to work the same schedules as your children and grandchildren.

Completing our in-house FREE driver training program which yields a PA Commercial Driver's License, a Passenger endorsement on your PA driver license, a School Bus endorsement on the license, and the ability to drive air-braked vehicles as well as a position as one of our respected school bus operators.

Home to School Bus Driver Job Description

 

Safely operate school buses to transport passengers at the direction of a dispatcher or other company official.

 

Job Types Available: Part-Time and/or Occasional

Pay $18.35 - $19.35 per hour

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Safely transport students on assigned routes 

• Research and be familiar with route before departure

• Provide the utmost in customer service by maintaining clear and polite conversation with students, parents and school officials

• Complete driver paperwork and electronic logs during and at end of trip

• Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after each trip and whenever necessary

• Participate in all driver meetings, submit to all necessary testing, reviews and training

 

Qualifications

 

• Willingness to obtain a Class B CDL license with Passenger Endorsement

• DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug test

• A satisfactory driving record

• Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

• Ability to work closely with others

 

Experience/Education/Requirements

 

• High school or equivalent (required)

• Work authorization in United States (required)
