Get Ready to be Welcomed to Coastal Maine!

Embark on a vacation to 'downeast Maine' and the Maine Lobster Festival!  This beautiful state has 3,478 miles of spectacular coastline and harvests the majority of lobster in the United States!  This particular trip will travel to a handful of coastal towns and seaside villages.  Explore coastal views of islands and lighthouses while learning of the rich culture of the area.  Not to mention all the festivities to be had at the Maine Lobster Festival - an internationally recognized celebration of local seafood! 

Day One

Enjoy a leisurely drive aboard a deluxe Klein motorcoach in route to Portland. Driver making comfort stops and a lunch stop on the way. Lunch will be quick fare on your own. This afternoon, arrive in Portland, Maine and begin your Lobstering adventure! Here, receive a warm greeting by our professional Tour Guide and take some time to relax and freshen up before enjoying a savory seafood dinner at one of the area's popular restaurants!

Day Two

Portland Headlight, Old Port & Boothbay Harbor Cruise. After breakfast, we'll depart for a visit to the Portland Head Light which guards the entrance to Casco Bay. Commissioned by George Washington, it is one of the oldest continuously operating lights in the country. Enjoy a guided tour of Portland, including the Old Port Exchange. This thriving waterfront was the heart of Portland's busy 19th century commercial ventures and continues to be the center of activitiy today. Continue downeast to mid-coast Maine arriving at the beautiful seaside village of Boothbay Harbor and board on a scenic Harbor Cruise enjoying views of islands, lighthouses, seals and puffins! After the cruise, enjoy free time in town to explore and enjoy dinner on own at one of the waterfront restaurants. Tonight, check into the Best Western Brunswick for a relaxing two-night stay.

Day Three

Mount Battie, Camden & Annual Maine Lobster Festival! After breakfast, we'll head to the beautiful coastal village of Camden and travel to the top of Mount Battie for magnificent views of Camden Harbor and beyond! Then it's off to Rockland for a fun-filled time at the Annual Maine Lobster Festival! This festival is filled with the world's greatest lobster cooker, 20,000 pounds of lobster, top notch entertainment, fine art, talented craftspeople and vendors, cooking contests, marine expierence tent and so much more! Tickets for a delicious lobster meal will also be provided! Enjoy all the festivities, live entertainment, and time to explore the town!

Day Four

Presidents, Lobsters and Lighthouses. Following breakfast, we'll enjoy the day touring some of southern Maine's coastal villages. It's off to the popular summer resort of Kennebunkport which draws artists, writers and Presidents alike! Enjy a scenic drive along the ocean to Walker's Point passing the well-known summer home of President George H.W. Bush. Continue to Ogunquit, named by the Abenaki Indians meaning, "beautiful place by the sea" and board the Finest King for a scenic Lobster Cruise to learn all about these tasty crustaceans while enjoying the coastal beauty. Finish the afternoon with a visit to the lively little seaside town of York and visit the Goldenrod and watch the age-old taffy making process to see how they make their famous "Goldenrod Kisses!" Continue for a picture stop at one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country - the Cape Neddick Light, otherwise known as "the Nubble." This afternoon, check into your hotel for a relaxing night's stay. Tonight, enjoy a plannned dinner offering delicious seafood selections.

Day Five

Enjoy a leisurely morning. Have breakfast, take a walk to the water, or explore the village before we depart. Later we'll check out and depart for home taking with us wonderful memories of our vacation to Maine and the Maine Lobster Festival!
