Join us as we travel to Williamsport and Wellsboro PA. During your two night/three day stay at the historic Penn Wells Lodge, experience some favorites of the Wellsboro and PA Grand Canyon areas; wine tasting, a taste of Tioga, Cowboy cookout, sightseeing cruise on the Susquehanna River, the Covered Wagon tours of the PA Grand Canyon as well as the beautiful and historic Penn Wells Hotel, all the while enjoying the Fall Foliage in this beautiful area of North Central Pennsylania!
Day One
Arrive at Four Friends Vineyard & Winery, your first stop on this magnificant tour. Enjoy Lunch at the Genetti Hotel, nestled in the heart of Williamsport. After lunch there will be some Free Time before embarking on your Millionaire's Row Tour. In addition to the impressive mansions, this tour includes Memorial Park where the first Little League Baseball game was played and an inside look of one of the historic buildings. After your tour, check into the Penns Wells Lodge for your 2 night stay. After check-in it's off to A Taste of Tioga, where you will indulge your senses in an unforgettable journey through the heart of Tioga. The chef will provide a Four-Course Dinner featuring a menu that incoporates some of the local products you will have just tasted. This event would not be complete without a culinary demonstration to conclude your evening.
L, DDay Two
Enjoy Breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a guided tour at the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Overlook at Leonard Harrison State Park. Enjoy some free time to take in the views and colorful fall foliage. Stop by the visitor's center to learn more about the area as well as shop in their gift shop. Feast on a Cowboy Cookout Lunch featuring BBQ Chicken, BBQ Pork, Cowboy Baked Beans, Potatoes, and Dessert. Next stop is the Covered Wagon Tour of the Grand Canyon. Board a horse-drawn covered wagon as a guide escorts you through the wondrous Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. The tour runs rain or shine, please dress appropriately. Next, enjoy some free time on Wellsboro's Main Street. All passengers will be given a coupon booklet that features many of the shops downtown. Enjoy Dinner in the Penn Wells Hotel - Mary Wells Dining Room.
B, L, DDay Three
After hotel check-out and Breakfast, board your motorcoach for travel to a narrated sightseeing cruise on board the Hiawatha on the Susquehanna River. After your cruise, enjoy Lunch at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, located on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport. This fine-dining experience is hosted by the College's School of Business & Hospitality. A cash bar will be available. Sit back and watch as your chef creates Chocolate Soup. After lunch depart for home with wonderful memories of your visit to North Central PA!
